Proposals for the 25.4/D topics are due May 13, 2026. The 91 topics in the FY2026 SBIR/STTR Solicitations Release 1 will move from pre-release to open status on Wednesday May 6. Full proposals are due June 3, 2026. There are 66 SBIR topics, 21 STTR topics, and 4 CSO topics. New pre-release topics are posted on the first Wednesday of each month.
The Navy will hold a webinar on Wednesday May 6 to discuss their 2026 Navy SBIR CSO Release 1 from 10:00 AM - 11:00 AM MT. Register here.
NASA SBIR/STTR program has issued its FY2026 BAA and the first appendices: 2026 Appendix A SBIR, 2026 Appendix B SBIR, 2026 Appendix B STTR. Links from their program site will direct you to SAM.gov listings to retrieve full documents.
The Department of Transportation SBIR program's FY2026 Phase I Pre-Solicitation Notice has been posted. There are 10 research topics described. This pre-release period is the time to review the topic areas and engage with topic authors confidentially. The solicitation submission window will open approximately June 3 with full proposals due July 7.

Two-Day SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab May 28 & June 11
For Montana and Wyoming Small Businesses
We are thrilled to join our FAST partners in Wyoming to provide this focused, two-part SBIR/STTR Proposal Lab designed to help you develop a competitive Phase I submission. The content will be relevant to all 11 SBIR and 6 STTR agencies, with particular emphasis on DoD, NIH, NSF, DOE, and NASA.
Day 1: On May 28, we’ll cover program fundamentals and outline a structured process for preparing your technical proposal.
Day 2: On June 11, we’ll complete that process and explore key concepts for building a sound cost proposal—ensuring your project budget is accurate and sustainable.
